Geo Services

The Geo Services feature lets you use your mobile phone in ways you never imagined. If you opt in, your alarm system can track your location on your mobile phone. It then follows your rules for sending alerts, depending on where you are. Customize this option to suit your specific needs, to make security simpler and more convenient than ever.

Step 1 is to set up your home"geo-fence." The geo-fence is a "virtual perimeter" around the house. Set it for any distance that makes sense to you – perhaps a mile, or half a mile from home. Then, if you happen to drive away from the house without arming your home security system, you'll get an instant reminder. The system realizes you've exiting your geo-fence. It checks your arming status, and knows you want an alert if you left the system unarmed.

These "Arming Reminders" are FrontPoint's initial Geo Services feature. We'll expand the Geo-Services offering in future releases. Exciting future capabilities include home automation and secondary locations. For example, do you hate walking into a dark house? You will be able to set your system to automatically turn on lights – or adjust the thermostat –as you enter your geo-fence area. Or you will be able to define custom geo-fences around other important locations like your vacation home, child's school, or workplace.

Geo Services are available at no extra charge to FrontPoint customers with the Interactive or Ultimate Monitoring plan. The first Geo Services release is compatible with iPhones 4 and up and Android smartphones version 1.6 and up. Apps for Windows and other smartphones will be released soon.

Communicate with your home in a way you never did before, using FrontPoint Geo Services with your free mobile apps!

CUSTOMER LOVE

We chose FrontPoint because it was the least expensive way that we could find to get what we wanted from a security system. We liked the system so much I even convinced my boss to get Front Point at his house and he loves it too.

You can set up customizable alarm pin numbers for EACH person that has access to your house — you can disable any of these codes without interrupting your own, or without having to redistribute access to other people.
