Licensing

To protect residents and consumers, many states regulate their industries with licensing rules. The home security industry is no exception. FrontPoint works directly with every state in the U.S., and countless municipalities, to comply with all licensing guidelines and regulations. Our aim is to be the single most compliant alarm services provider in the nation.

Since every state has different laws, FrontPoint adapts our licensing policy accordingly. Our license status varies with each state, but will meet one of the criteria below. Check out the details for your state by using the drop-down menu in our U.S. map.

• License: FrontPoint currently holds one or more state alarm licenses. If this is the case in your state, the specific license number is shown on your individual state page.
• Exemption:States may have a variety of reasons for exempting FrontPoint from the licensing requirement. The exemption may be based on the reliability and simplicity of our systems, or on our customer-friendly method for providing home security and peace of mind. In some cases we don't need a license simply because we don't have offices in that state. Bottom line: FrontPoint is licensed in every jurisdiction where it's required.
• No State Licensing: Some states currently have no alarm licensing requirements.
