It constantly communicates with all the devices in your home, and connects to FrontPoint with a digital cellular link, the most reliable way to connect an alarm system.

Where Should I Put It?
The control panel should be located in a central area of your home, generally in an above-ground location. It is designed to simply be placed on a flat surface (counter, shelf, etc.), but it's also easy to wall mount.
How Many Do I Need?
Since the control panel is the "brains" of the system, you only need one. The panel is easy to relocate and can simply be taken with you if you move.
What Else Should I Know?
The only wire (literally) in the entire system is the power cord - you should plug it into a non-switched electrical outlet (i.e. one that isn't controlled by a light switch, and doesn't have a test/reset button). With FrontPoint's Interactive Monitoring, you can remotely arm/disarm the system from the web, or from a mobile device.
