<p><span style="font-weight: bold">Description</span></p><p>Our Range Extender Kit can be used to extend the range of the wireless grid that connects your security devices to the Control Panel. <ul><li>6.5" long x 4.5" wide x 1.1" deep</li><li>Plugs directly into a wall outlet power socket</li><li>Range: the exact coverage range will depend on where the control panel and Range Extender Kit are placed, but generally speaking the Range Extender Kit can be located up to 100' away from the Control Panel and will extend the coverage area for an additional 100' (i.e. a sensor ~200' away from the Control Panel would be expected to have coverage) </li><li>**Note: Range Extender will increase the range of all devices from FrontPoint except Talking Remote Touchpad and video cameras.</li></ul>

<div id="installation_tips" class="product_details"><p><strong>Where Should I Put It?</strong></p><p>It's best to coordiante the location of the Control Panel and the Range Extender Kit to maximize the coverage area. The Range Extender Kit must be installed within the coverage range of the Control Panel. Don't worry, our Customer Service Representatives will be happy to assist you and test the installation. </p><p><strong>How Many Do I Need?</strong></p><p>Most homes will not need a Range Extender Kit. Even for homes as large as 7,000 SF, it's unlikely that this device will be needed. It's really designed for more commercial settings, like a warehouse. </p><p><strong>What Else Should I Know?</strong></p><p>We recommend starting with the <a href="http://www.frontpointsecurity.com/products/20/choose/product/base-control">Control Panel</a>. If there is a range coverage issue, we can help troubleshoot and, if needed, assist with the ordering of a Range Extender Kit. Also, the device shouldn't be used in California to receive fire signals (per section 208-g, Chapter 1.5, Title 19 of the California Code of Regulations). </p></div>
