Where Should I Put It?
Place a Glass Break Sensor near (not on) any oversized window or glass doors. The sensor should be no further than about 20 feet from the glass being protected.
How Many Do I Need?
Glass Break Sensors are great for protecting multiple windows - and even multiple rooms where there is line-of-sight between the sensor and the window. For example, position a sensor in a family room in a position that is within 20 feet of multiple family room & kitchen windows. Savings Tip: Use one or more Glass Break Sensors instead of putting a Door or Window Sensors on every window.
What Else Should I Know?
You'll probably leave your Motion Sensors off at night (so you don't accidently set off an alarm). Glass Break Sensors are a great way to continue to protect against nighttime window intrusion. Remember, one Glass Break Sensor can cover multiple rooms (up to 20' range where there is line-of-sight between the sensor and the window) and is active even if you leave your Motion Sensors off at night.
