<p><strong>Where Should I Put It?</strong></p><p>Motion Sensors can be easily wall-mounted or simply placed on a flat surface, like a bookshelf. They can even be corner-mounted, to provide optimal room coverage. Motion Sensors should be placed to detect people moving <em>across </em>a field of view, not <em>toward</em> the sensor.</p><p><strong>How Many Do I Need?</strong></p><p>FrontPoint recommends Motion Sensors for protecting larger rooms and other common areas with multiple windows, such as a family room, kitchen or hallway when you are away from your property. They are also a cost-effective way protect many windows without purchasing individual window sensors for each. If you're planning to regularly arm your system while in the property, you may still need additional Door or Window Sensors, and/or Glass Break Sensors, since Motion Sensors are not typically armed when occupying the premises. </p><p><strong>What Else Should I Know?</strong></p><p>With our Interactive Monitoring, you can use Motion Sensors to monitor non-alarm activity, even if your system is disarmed. For example, get alerted if a housesitter enters a restricted area of the home; or if a parent or loved one is up and about between 5am and 7am.</p>
