Our Outdoor Motion Sensor is designed to work as a "chime" or "notification" sensor to alert you of activity outside the home. Given the potential for false alarms, it is not designed to be used as an intrusion sensor (except in special circumstances). It works just like our indoor Motion Sensor, using infrared energy to detect people in motion.Features

What Else Should I Know?
With our Interactive Monitoring, you can use Outdoor Motion Sensors to monitor non-alarm activity, even if the system is disarmed. For example, if motion is detected on the back patio deck, you can get an email notifying you of this activity, in addition to an audible "chime" from the Control Panel.
