Here at FrontPoint we love social media and review sites -  these fully developed offspring of the Internet age really do provide an effective and efficient means for people to communicate. And as a nationwide service provider with an excellent reputation, FrontPoint has much to gain when people rave about us on Facebook, Twitter, and other social platforms. We also think the world of sites like Angie’s list, Yelp, and Epinions, for the same reason. It’s even interesting to check out the negative review sites – like the Better Business Bureau (BBB), complaints.com and ripoffreport.com, since you can hardly find anything about FrontPoint there. What People Post As you may imagine, we get lots of comments on our own Facebook page. And the conversation has been picking up – not just about the clever ways people use their FrontPoint wireless home security and home automation systems, but about other topics as well. But I particularly like the posts where folks share their experiences about the peace of mind that FrontPoint provides. Here’s a great example, posted by Devon on July 31:
"System installed and activated, just recently found out that 3 neighbors of mine were hit by intruders, but luckily, my place was untouched thanks to the "Protected by FrontPoint Security" signs in my front yard, and on my windows. Just the signs prevented my place from being broken into. Thank you FrontPoint for protecting my home, I could have been a victim of a burglary if I would not have had my security system or the signs outside of my place."
What Devon may not know is that there are actual studies demonstrating this phenomenon. It’s been shown that having a monitored home alarm system makes you only one third as likely to experience a burglary as your unprotected neighbor. And with an intrusion happening every 14 seconds in the US, that’s a meaningful statistic in your favor. This One Happened to Me, Too Another recent Facebook comment caught my eye, because my wife and I experienced the same exact thing. This post is from Debbie, dated July 26:
"My new Front Point security system allowed me to catch my pet sitter not upholding her contract. She is fired and will pay my carpet cleaning. Thanks to Front Point, the proof is as simple as a print out. My dogs thank you!"
Yup, our dog walker was shorting us as well. We warned him twice and then fired him: the FrontPoint interactive monitoring features told us exactly when the door was opening (and closing), so we could see that our dogs were only being let out for a minute or two, instead of getting the twenty-minute constitutional we were paying for. We never did explain how it was we knew – but those notification emails on my iPhone were proof positive that we were being ripped off. There are tons more comments on the FrontPoint Facebook page, ranging from informative to downright funny, and we appreciate them all. And we’ll continue to work on expanding our social media activities, since these forums give our customers (and our prospective customers!) the perfect opportunity to ask questions, share timely tips and experiences, and even sing our praises. And when someone has an issue with us, you’ll see that too – we don’t hit the “delete” key when a customer offers constructive advice on how we can do home security better. After all, we’ve spent years developing the best methods to protect homes and families, and along the way we’ve had some great suggestions from our customers. That’s just one more reason that FrontPoint is the recognized leader in wireless home security. With systems that are safer, smarter, simpler, more affordable, and virtually impossible to defeat, FrontPoint is the #1 ranked alarm company in the US.  We’d love to hear from you as well – and you can “like” FrontPoint in the process!
