FrontPoint Picks: The Best of 2013 Round-Ups
It’s hard to believe that the year is just about wrapped up, but we’re ready for what awaits us in 2014. Before we start looking too far ahead, we wanted to take a final look at the “best” of 2013.
Luckily, just about everyone has released a “Best of 2013” list. Movies, books, Miley Cyrus – you name it, there’s a list! We’ve selected a few of our favorites (sorry Miley fans, she didn’t make the cut) to share with you. Read, enjoy and have a safe and wonderful New Year!
We start off with a list of the best books, voted by the readers themselves! Many of us at FrontPoint are avid readers with varying tastes, which makes it hard to choose a favorite. However, this list comes in handy because it chooses the best in multiple genres. It’s also a nice place to start if you’ve resolved to read more in 2014.

Gizmodo’s 100 Most Astonishing Images of 2013
Astonishing is a strong word, but it certainly applies to the images in this list. There’s no real theme to these pictures, except that they’re truly some of the best pictures to have been taken this year. Honorable mention: Viral Nova’s list of 28 photos are just as incredible to look at, but centered on major events that occurred in 2013.
Huffington Post’s Best Films of 2013
Movies are and will always be subjective, but there’s no denying that most of the movies on the list were greeted well by either critics, viewers or both. We could argue all day about which was better – Thor 2 or Iron Man 3 – but we’ll hold our tongue. Honorable mention: A.V. Club’s best films list includes many more indie choices that casual moviegoers may not recognize.
