Memorial Day is right around the corner! This holiday weekend, get the most out of your security system by fiddling with some of the features found in the Interactive and Ultimate Monitoring plans. Whether you’re firing up the grill, having guests over, or heading out to enjoy one of the many festivities going on, consider using some of these tips and tricks for the holiday weekend. - Track your guests’ whereabouts using motion-activated alerts. Use your sensors to notify you when guest have arrived, or if they’re being nosy and checking to see what’s in your medicine cabinet! - Keep your windows open, without sacrificing security. Hopefully it won’t be too hot during this weekend, so you can keep the windows open and enjoy a nice breeze. And don’t worry if you have a Door and Window Sensor on the one window you want to open – you can open that one too. Here’s how you can keep your entire system armed, while still opening a window. - Bypass the sensor on your sliding glass door. If you’re hosting a barbecue, people will be coming and going to your backyard nonstop. To avoid getting an endless stream of notifications, bypass the sensor (same procedure as above). - Set up your automated door lock to be a bouncer. An automated door lock is perfect for gatherings because you can assign each guest their own personal code to gain entry. You don’t need to worry about answering the door or leaving it unlocked. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend!
